Subscription Terms

These Subscription Terms supplement our Terms of Service and govern paid subscriptions to Scholar Guide, operated by Firelink Labs LLC.

1. Subscription Plans

Scholar Guide offers the following subscription tiers:

  • Free — Basic activity logging and attendance tracking for 1 child. Mobile app access only.
  • Pro ($9.99/month or $99.99/year) — Unlimited children. AI portfolio generation with PDF export, full compliance dashboard, transcripts and report cards, AI lesson plans and progress reports, curriculum library access, analytics, CSV/Excel export, and web app access.
  • Family ($12.99/month or $129.99/year) — All Pro features plus household sharing for up to 5 family members with role-based access (owner, editor, viewer).

2. Billing & Payment

Subscriptions are purchased and billed exclusively through the Apple App Store or Google Play Store. All payment processing, billing, and tax collection is handled by the respective app store. Firelink Labs LLC does not directly process payments or store payment information.

3. Free Trial

We may offer a free trial period for new subscribers. If you do not cancel before the trial ends, your subscription will automatically convert to a paid subscription at the applicable rate. Trial availability and duration are determined by the app store.

4. Auto-Renewal

Subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each billing period unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Renewal will be charged at the then-current subscription price.

5. Cancellation

You may cancel your subscription at any time through your device's app store settings:

  • iOS: Settings > Apple ID > Subscriptions > Scholar Guide > Cancel
  • Android: Google Play Store > Subscriptions > Scholar Guide > Cancel

After cancellation, you will retain access to Pro/Family features until the end of your current billing period. After that, your account will revert to the Free tier. Your data will not be deleted.

6. Refunds

Refund requests are handled by the Apple App Store or Google Play Store in accordance with their respective refund policies. Firelink Labs LLC does not process refunds directly. To request a refund, contact the app store through which you purchased your subscription.

7. Price Changes

We reserve the right to change subscription prices. Price changes will not affect your current billing period. The app store will notify you of any price changes before your next renewal, and you may cancel if you do not agree to the new price.

8. Feature Availability

We may add, modify, or remove features included in each subscription tier. We will provide reasonable notice of material changes to subscription benefits.

9. Account Deletion

Deleting your Scholar Guide account does not automatically cancel your app store subscription. You must cancel your subscription through your device's app store settings before deleting your account to avoid continued billing.
